@MeiaArmador__@stirling_j Yeah, I think it gives a good balance between order and chaos. It allows to have all the functions you "need" in a natural way.
Freedom in the inside for the creative players and instead of having FBs giving width, you can have true wingers dangerous not only attacking the space+
@MeiaArmador__@stirling_j I agree 100% and have seen that on the teams I've worked last two seasons (senior team last season and U17 the season before)
Not a total relational team but more like a hybrid aproach starting from a 352. 3 center backs covering and 2 wingbacks giving width. The rest "f**k it"
@MeiaArmador__@stirling_j Training wise, removing space restrictions and incentive certain things like you mentioned should be the way but don't you think some constraints can be perceived as too abstract?
@MeiaArmador__@stirling_j I also believe the main thing is a change of mindset since most of the players grow up on a "positional environment". A mindset that allows for risk like Diniz does with the "if you lose the ball, f**k it".
@MeiaArmador__@stirling_j Thank you for the answer and the video 💪🏼 Since going in the relational "rabbithole" the past few years, training exercises and what type of constraints you have to use to induce these types of principles are something that intrigues me and want to know more about
@TGC_english How is it trained? Do you think/know what kind of exercises they use? Do they use the same kind of exercises (SSG, rondos, possesion and progression games, etc.) but with different feedback and/or rules?
@SelecaoTalk 1st home game since the news of the boy came out... Looking at this and talking about race says more about you than it does of Benfica. What happened, happened unfortunately but life goes on. No need of any propaganda. The ones who need to be punished must be and that's it
@stirling_j I remember seeing your tweets about the tactics of Sir Alex's United and how it had lots of relational concepts. Do you think Marco Silva is the EPL coach who is the most similar to that? Personally I think he would be the best option for United to bring back the so called "DNA"
@stirling_j Having BF, BS, Cancelo and Vitinha not inside and so far from each other most of the game makes me sad. In one of the few occasions Dias passed and moved, we created a good chance for Ronaldo 🤷🏻♂️ "Saudades" of our game against Switzerland in the Word Cup
