Excited to partner with Michal Solowow on building @SGE_Nuclear .
Europe’s AI ambitions will be constrained by power. Building the next generation of data centers and compute infrastructure requires abundant, reliable and competitively priced clean energy.
That’s exactly what SGE is built to solve.
NEW: “Prototypes Don’t Fight Wars.”
Europe is rearming after decades of underinvestment, with hundreds of billions in new defense spending ahead.
The problem? Europe can't manufacture fast enough.
Some contracts take 4–5 years to deliver, while modern warfare requires systems produced in the tens of thousands or millions.
I sat down with Aistis Šimaitis, Co-Founder & CEO of Onodrim & former Palantir Europe commercial lead, George Hadjiminas, Chief Strategy Officer at Theon International & EFA Group, & Bruno Wejchert (@BrunoJW3), Partner at @StrikeCapital_ , on the massive opportunity to rebuild Europe's defense industrial base.
We cover
› Why “volume wins” in modern warfare
› Europe's fragmented manufacturing & supply chain
› Why autonomy requires cheaper systems at massive scale
› Defense startups vs established industrial players
› The biggest misconceptions about European defense

As a European SMR development platform headquartered in Warsaw, Poland’s energy security is of special importance to us.
We are proud to announce that today our founder, Michał Sołowow, unveiled a PLN 500 million investment by a group of leading Polish entrepreneurs in SGE’s programme to build a fleet of #BWRX300 reactors in Poland, Central and Eastern Europe, and the United Kingdom. Their combined investment amounts to PLN 500 million.
The announcement was made as part of a broader presentation about BWRX-300 SMRs in Poland which included remarks from Theodore Garrish, Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Energy at the @energy, U.S Ambassador to Poland @USAmbPoland@USEmbassyWarsaw, and Roger Martella, Chief Corporate Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer at @gvhnuclear.
The investors include Rafał Brzoska @RBrzoska, entrepreneur and philanthropist and CEO of @InPostPL; Dr. Krzysztof Pawiński @kpawinski, Founder of Silesia House Family Foundation, together with his daughter Marta Pawińska, President of the Management Board of Silesia House Family Foundation; Michał Wypychewicz @wypychewicz, CEO of Koronea Family Office; Dariusz Gałęzewski and @DominikDolinski, co-founders and co-owners of OSHEE; @Mati Staniszewski and @dabkowski_piotr, co-founders of @ElevenLabs; Michał Brański @vxel, co-owner of Wirtualna Polska Holding and an investor in listed and privately held technology companies; and Bruno Wejchert @brunoJW3, General Partner at Strike Capital.
Growing electricity demand means that investment decisions need to be taken well in advance. The entrepreneurs backing SGE recognise that Poland and Europe need new sources of reliable power that can be deployed within a relatively short timeframe. This is why they have chosen to invest in SMRs.
Michał Sołowow also announced that SGE has secured PLN 1.35 billion in equity commitments from international investors.
“For a project of this scale, the strongest validation is not a declaration or an expression of support, but a decision to commit your own capital. Polish entrepreneurs who have built major companies, compete globally and understand how fundamental access to reliable and competitively priced energy is for industry have decided to invest a total of PLN 500 million in our SMR programme. This is a very tangible signal that Polish business recognises the scale of the challenge facing our economy and wants to take part in building the infrastructure on which its competitiveness will depend for decades to come,” said Michał Sołowow.

Sat down to share our mission, progress, and the less known parts of Stord with @MollySOShea at the @sourceryy X @StrikeCapital_ event in the south of France.
10 years, 10-figures, and still doubling.
Great event @LouisVanHove 🫡
NEW: Stord’s $3B Bet on Robotics, AI & Physical Infrastructure
From Thiel Fellow at 19 to building a $1B+ revenue business
Founder & CEO Sean Henry (@seanhenry)
@GetSTORD stats:
› 100M packages/year
› ~$20B in GMV
› $1B+ revenue this year, after 10Xing in 4 years
› 8B operational data points
The goal is to level the playing field with Amazon Prime for the other 2/3 of commerce on the internet.
I sat down with Sean in Cap Ferrat to talk about the company's $250M Series F, its massive bet on robotics & AI, plus why he believes the biggest value from this technology may ultimately accrue to physical businesses, not the AI and robotics companies themselves.
We get into:
› The data advantage behind 100M packages a year
› Why humanoids may be the wrong form factor for warehouses
› How acquisitions & vertical integration are accelerating Stord's scale
› Going from Thiel Fellow at 19 to building a $1B+ revenue business
Sean also explains the flywheel behind Stord: more volume creates greater density, lower costs and faster delivery, which in turn makes the company more competitive as it scales.

BREAKING: Stord Raises $250M at $3 Billion Valuation
Investors include @StrikeCapital_, Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Franklin Templeton, Baillie Gifford, G Squared, Bond, Lux, & more..
@GetSTORD is advancing the physical layer for commerce, reaching:
- Nearly $1 billion in revenue
- $15B+ in GMV annually
- 10x growth over the past 4 years
- Software 3x in 2025 alone
- Packages touching ~1 in 4 U.S. households
Brands like: True Classic. AG1. Jolie. Fanatics. Hairstory. Monos. IM8. goodr. Fatty15. LMNT.
PSA: Alongside the raise, Stord announced Stord Labs, its dedicated environment for advancing physical AI & robotics. Stord is building what independent commerce has always needed and never had: the physical intelligence layer.
Impressive to see Stord's scale (25% of US HH's).
Overnight success, ten years in the making.
Love to see them coming for Amazon, and cherry on top, Sean is the man.
I’ve introduced many customers to Stord, and the feedback is always the same - exceptional experience, reliability, and speed
if you know @seanhenry, it makes perfect sense. He’s poured his heart and soul into building this business and the results show it. This is still just the beginning
Ten years ago I started Stord because nobody had built the infrastructure for what happens after a consumer clicks buy.
Today we raised $250M at a $3 billion valuation.
Commerce now has the physical intelligence layer that merchants deserve.

Excited to be part of the @getserval journey as they announce a new round led by @sequoia.
Serval is quickly becoming core infrastructure for AI adoption inside the enterprise, giving teams a clean and reliable way to turn messy workflows into real automations with transparency and control.
The team moves fast, listens hard to users, and is building the automation layer every IT org has been missing.
Big congrats to @jakeserval , @alexbard and the whole Serval team. Early days. 🚀
