@Redpoint put out their #InfraRed100 list this morning. It lists 100 companies in cloud infrastructure who they believe are setting new benchmarks for reliability, scalability and security. These are the ones they are betting will set businesses up for success through a new paradigm of building applications. @getserval is on the list this year.
Redpoint's report behind the list is worth a read. Seventy-seven pages of analysis from the people who obsess over this topic every day. @patrickachase@loganbartlett
The Redpoint InfraRed 100 is now live.
These are the companies building the infrastructure that powers everything happening in AI right now, from world models and agent runtimes to the sandboxes, databases, and security tools agents depend on.
Congratulations to this year's honorees!

Software is mostly just workflows on top of a database. This hasn't changed. What's changed is how those workflows are built. @jakeserval and @getserval saw the world changing and nailed it.
If you want to predict the future, watch the flow of top talent. Where are people going, and where are they leaving from?
Talent is the ultimate leading indicator of future performance.
It's Serval now.
After 5 incredible years at Greylock, it’s time to build again! I'm thrilled to share that I'm joining @getserval as Head of Strategic Projects.
Serval is building AI agents that automate enterprise IT workflows, replacing systems like ServiceNow with something fundamentally better. ITSM is one of the largest enterprise markets and the opportunity to reimagine it with AI is once in a lifetime.
My initial focus is building out the forward deployed engineering and deployment motion from the ground up. FDEs are the critical bridge between the product and the customer and it’s one of the most important functions in enterprise AI right now. At Serval, FDEs don’t just configure in customer environments, they build critical core product — and we already work with some of the largest enterprise customers in the world including Abridge, Bilt, Notion, Vercel, Verkada plus more that I’d love to tell you in person.
Which brings me to this — I'm hiring FDEs. This role is perfect for former or future founders as you’ll spend time selling, building, and deploying 0→1 world class enterprise products. If you're an engineer who loves working directly with customers, thrives in ambiguity, and wants to be early at a company with serious momentum, I'd love to hear from you (DM or reach me at [email protected])
I’m so grateful to the @GreylockVC team and to all my founders for an incredible chapter. The privilege of partnering with founders at their earliest stages and working with some of the sharpest minds in the industry has shaped how I think, operate, and lead. Thank you.

Every platform shift creates a chance to rebuild massive software categories.
In ITSM, that shift is happening right now from tickets to AI agents.
@alexbard@jordan_segall and I couldn’t be more excited to partner with @getserval for their Series A. Here’s more about the investment including:
- The incredible team behind Serval
- How code generation will reinvent ITSM
- Why owning both the System of Record and System of Intelligence matters
Huge congrats to @jakeserval, Alex McLeod, @TatianaBirgisso and the entire Serval team and thanks for trusting us to be part of your journey!🐆

We couldn’t be more excited to announce @Redpoint is leading the Series A in @getserval!
Serval is building AI agents for IT service management and taking on the $200B ServiceNow with a modern, AI-native architecture.
@alexbard@jordan_segall and I are thrilled to partner with Serval and here’s more on what got us so excited! ⬇️
1. Team - We were blown away by the Serval team. @jakeserval and Alex McLeod have incredible ambition, technical depth, and a clear vision for how ITSM will work having seen the pain point first hand at Verkada. Most recently, they were joined by amazing folks like @TatianaBirgisso with deep expertise in scaling GTM at the largest B2B SaaS companies.
2. System of Record + System of Intelligence - Serval built their own ticketing system (SoR) and AI agents on top of it (SoI). Instead of being tied to legacy data models like ServiceNow and Jira, Serval owns the workflow end to end. Whoever has the best data, will have the best AI and this allows Serval to control the full stack.
3. Code Native Architecture - Fellow Redpoint founder @barrald put it better than I could have - “Code generation will be one of – if not the – defining current of the next wave of software.” Serval is built to be code native as every workflow is code generated by an LLM vs a DAG written by a human. This gives users more power and flexibility without compromising control.
4. Opportunity to Disrupt Large Incumbent - We’ve been fortunate to partner with many startups going after large incumbents like Snowflake (DW), Attio (CRM), Everest (ERP) and many more. The most attractive markets often have the largest incumbents but get reinvented over time with new trends in technology. It’s time for ITSM to be disrupted with AI and Serval is leading the charge!
Thank you Jake and Alex for trusting us to be part of your journey!
We’re excited to announce our partnership with @jakeserval, Alex McLeod, and the Serval team as they raise a $47M Series A.
Serval’s AI agents resolve employee requests instantly, automate repetitive tasks, and even generate new workflows based on historical data. The results speak for themselves: customers like @perplexity_ai , Verkada, @HeyBilt, @mercor_ai , and @togethercompute AI have already automated more than half of their IT tickets and transformed how their teams operate.
The platform combines ITSM, access management, and workflow automation into a single system, powered by a natural language interface that lets IT describe and deploy automations in seconds. It’s an entirely new approach to how IT helps employees work faster and smarter.
🎉 Shoutout to @patrickachase, @alexbard, and @jordan_segall for leading the investment. We’re thrilled to back Jake Stauch, Alex McLeod, and the Serval team as they define what AI-native IT looks like.
Today we’re announcing Serval's (@getserval )$47M Series A, led by @Redpoint with participation from @firstround , @generalcatalyst , @BoxGroup, @bessemer, and others. This brings our total funding to $52M.
Serval is the AI platform for IT teams, and our mission is to unlock meaningful work for all employees. We help everyone get out of the help desk and back to the work they enjoy.
IT teams power the workplace, and they’ve spent the past couple years helping organizations bring in powerful new AI tools. But IT still works out of legacy platforms that seem increasingly out of touch with the modern tech stack – absurdly filing manual tickets to manage access to AI agents.
When IT slows down, everyone suffers. Employees are blocked waiting on support, onboarding is painful, and security initiatives are put on the back burner.
Serval changes that with AI agents that help IT build and deploy automations from natural language prompts.
It’s been incredible to watch the Serval community grow so quickly.
In just over a year since founding:
▪️ Innovative companies like Perplexity, Clay, Verkada, Mercor, Together AI, Cribl, WRITER, and Bilt are transforming their IT and security operations with Serval.
▪️ Customers are seeing over 50% of all IT tickets automated, including help desk requests, just-in-time access, onboarding/offboarding tasks, and so much more. Our users are surprising us every day with use cases we’ve never even considered, using Serval to build automations for complicated workflows across IT, security, engineering, HR, finance, and operations.
It’s clear we’re helping IT teams become builders, and we can’t wait to see what they make next.
This funding will accelerate the development of Serval’s AI platform as we expand our capabilities and serve larger enterprises.
Huge thanks to Patrick Chase, Alex Bard , and the team at Redpoint for leading this round, with continued conviction from Bill Trenchard (First Round Capital), Marc Bhargava (General Catalyst), and Gregory Rosen (BoxGroup), and support from our incredible partners at Bessemer Venture Partners, Chemistry, Jack Altman + Alt Capital , Liu Jiang + Sunflower Capital, Strike Capital, and Operator Partners.
We’re grateful to our team, our customers, and our investors for uniting behind this mission as we build a generational company.
Join us - we’re hiring across all roles!
