@BaileyAJohnson_ Would be great. Gets incredible amounts of abuse along with other “honest” players on roster, who may not be greatest (29, 57, 22), but always give 100%.
@sammisilber@TheHockeyNews With even mediocre special teams we easily qualify. Very disappointing.
Would like to see a solid Brooks Orpik-like figure to consolidate defense and steer youngsters going forward
@rmnb Is it crazy Washington hasn't made a move?
Who are the Caps going to get, and what are they going to give up? As if teams are lining up with salivating offers for players that get steamrolled online daily by Caps fans...
@NedNeighborin0@TheCupitals He’s obsessed with 52 and though I really like 47 too, McIlrath should be a lock against any teams with troublemakers: NYR, FLA, ANA, etc..
@averagecapsfan Getting rid of organ was such a terrible move, I really envy fans in arenas that still have them. Tradition and authenticity went right down the drain in DC.
@Dez_91@LukeCerpinTaxt All this sniping at individual players is counterproductive and unfair. The elephant in the room is our special teams. That’s what’s killing us.
@SaintNick2018 The more he gets targeted by obnoxious Caps fans the more I stand by him, as if we’re bursting with character guys. Same applies to a couple of other players on the roster that get pissed upon constantly.
@sammisilber Love it. Guys like him get bashed more by Caps fans than anyone else. Hope he does well along with Milano and Lapierre. TVR is another guy who gets all kinds of grief.
@capsboybebop Don’t get these people who need to chronically abuse the 3-4 fringe players on the roster (Sourdif was one of them)
Though they may not be stars, they put in 100% and appear to be good teammates.
As long as they’re wearing a Caps jersey, they deserve our support.
The Washington Capitals are on a generational pro scouting run:
- Jakob Chychrun (Jensen and a 3rd)
- Logan Thompson (two 3rd rounders)
- Dylan Strome (originally a 1-year, $3.5M deal)
- PL Dubois (Darcy Kuemper)
- Rasmus Sandin (1st rounder)
- Justin Sourdif (2nd + 6th rounder)
@TheCupitals The McIlrath Derangement Syndrome is strong in this one, as if his mere presence is damaging our playoff chances. Unfortunately, our problems run deeper.
Have fun looking for a Capitals player to fail this evening.
@sammisilber I imagine McIlrath will either go set-piece at center ice or do nothing at all. He doesn’t have the dirty streak that Trouba and Gudas have, who’d happily clothesline someone like Beauvillier in revenge, if situation were reversed.
