Off-duty EMT and pre-med student Simone Kelly went viral after recognizing the signs of an opioid overdose and helping save a man's life with naloxone during the New York Knicks championship parade.
Kelly said the key warning signs were unresponsiveness, pinpoint pupils, and slow, shallow breathing, classic indicators of an opioid overdose.
She reminded people that there is little downside to administering naloxone if an opioid overdose is suspected, and encouraged people not to be bystanders in an emergency.
During the opening day of the federal cannabis rescheduling hearings, DEA and FDA officials acknowledged that cannabis has a lower risk of overdose than alcohol, opioids, and many other controlled substances.
FDA testimony emphasized that cannabis-related deaths are rare and are typically linked to secondary events (such as accidents) rather than toxic overdose.
Federal officials also defended the scientific basis for recommending cannabis be moved from Schedule I, citing evidence of accepted medical use and a more favorable safety profile.
BREAKING: In a landmark 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court rules that "geofence warrants," which allow law enforcement to collect sweeping smartphone location data over a broad area, constitute an "unreasonable search" and violate the Fourth Amendment.

Oliver is now back in California where he can finally rest. His legacy will live on through his foundation/endowment named “Dr. Oliver Tree’s Extremely Epic Grant For Baby Geniuses” coming soon. This is something that Oliver had put together before his passing, written in his will. We will make sure his wish comes to fruition so that more joy, love and art can be spread into the world, that was his final wish.
Love you all so much, Oliver would be so proud of every one of his supporters, friends and family.
