@TipOfTheBanana I have eaten approx 1k Costco blade tenderized steaks in the last decade. All but a handful have been cooked to medium rare. I have never gotten sick from it. Surely, if blade tenderization was as big a problem as some make it out to be, we’d hear more about outbreaks
@dyeogenknees@tweeth_mitchell Walkers are generally hardcore golfers who put a premium on playing fast, while people in carts almost invariably don’t understand proper cart golf and end up playing much slower. You won’t get a meaningful POP improvement from putting walkers into carts
@RMFifthCircuit You really don’t know? This seems in extraordinary bad faith, coming from an educated individual. Israel withdrew from Lebanon in 2000, there was peace between 06-23, and received unprovoked massive rocket fire following the genocidal attacks of 10.7. Basic self-defense

@ChristinaPushaw Wow. Looked at this and the H1B database. Turns out Big Law firms like @CovingtonLLP and @lathamwatkins are hiring H1B when American lawyers from top law schools are routinely rejected by these firms. Shame on them.
@WolfBronsky@christopherrufo I spent ten minutes searching for this and I do not regret it. Jacob Urowsky was the father of late Sullivan & Cromwell attorney Richard Urowsky (YLS ‘73). He did not survive his son, who died in 2014 at the age of 67.

@Philip_DT People spend that money to (a) have a four year non-stop sex-and-alcohol fueled bacchanal, (b) in elite cases, attempt to make connections that will serve them well in business, and/or (c) get the credential they need to join the ranks of the professional managerial class.
@DefiantAsUsual@ImTonyCash@BrandyLJensen I would prefer a doctor who wasn’t forced to waste money and time writing essays. It would drive the cost of health care down significantly by lessening the student loan debt that doctors have, without impacting at all the quality of care
@MattNoahSmith Wonder in the world, for many, is not found in a classroom. It is readily obtainable on your phone. Many learn more in one day on our phones than have in years or decades of “elite” institutions.
@MattNoahSmith It’s due to a century-old trend requiring professions to have a humanities education
Historically, MDs, lawyers, engineers + accountants did not require a humanities education.
Some desire such an education, but more have no such interest. So they will use AI to check the box
@EdAsante77 He doesn’t have tariff power, at least as he’s used them under IEEPA. IEEPA doesn’t grant tariff authority. It has been primarily used to sanction national security threats like Iran. No president has used it for tariffs. Finally, a good use for lawfare and nationwide injunctions
