I’m building a free app to help adults make real friends through sports.

No VC money. Small team. Big mission.

Here’s the whole story. 🧵

@chanjason The group chat scheduling doom loop is real lol. This is literally the problem we started VRV Athletics to fix — free app, find people to play with, no wedding brunch required. https://t.co/7gbFkopNQV

Big partnerships unlock when missions align!

VRV Athletics × @CLUBWAKA

We're now their social layer — helping adults find leagues and make new friends.

30+ cities. 2 platforms. 1 mission: Friends First. Sports Second.

Building something special here. 🙌

Nobody warns you that your 30s are when friendships just… quietly disappear.

No fight. No falling out. Just everyone gets busy and suddenly you realize you haven’t made a new real friend in years.

It shouldn’t be this hard. We’re fixing it.

We’ve spent the last 10 years optimizing for "time on screen." Now we have to build tools that optimize for “time in real life”.

We could charge for it. We’re not.

If someone can’t afford a league fee, they’re still lonely. We want everyone in.

Friends First. Sports Second.

@WomenandWeapons Love the concept but strongly believe it should be a free feature for holders. I would recommend allowing holders to license out their avatars so they get paid (more value to holders). @jenkinsthevalet @seeapefollowape has a portal to help with licenses
