Because kids are caught up in learning standards, being tested on them, and a grade on a report card, they are missing the purpose for math beyond the classroom. It’s our job to change this. I use effective discourse procedures and encourage them to discuss the hows and whys...
A3: Often I do not find that the teachers at each level work on common goals for their community sighting especially in High school that they have a lot of material to cover. Escaping the head space of test test test.

A2: Finding the time and opportunity to get all the stakeholders aligned is a great challenge even when you all have the same idea in mind. Start with the same goal, recycling, or food scarcity from there you can find time to align.
