Between September 21 and October 22 2024, We have recorded a total number of 12 Femicide cases in Nigeria.
Priscilla Ocheme is now the 93rd Victim of Femicide in Nigeria. She was killed on the 22nd of September when she visited her Friend, Ekosuehi Iseh Elvis also known as Richard, in his apartment around Lugbe, FCT Abuja.
Felicia Namkywa was killed by Abubakar Ibrahim and Isay Ayuba on the 13th of October at Nassarawa State.
A woman died at an hotel in Dopemu, Lagos state, while she was with an intimate partner, she reportedly felt something hot in her throat and died shortly after at the hospital.
60 year old Zuwara Muhammad was set Ablaze by her son Nura Masud in Jigawa State. He poured a canister of petrol on her because she asked about his whereabouts, on the 8th of October.
17 years old Chinanza Adigwe was found dead in a bush with her genitals mutilated at Omasi Village in Anambra state, on the 6th of October.
On the 30th of September, A man named Samson was set ablaze by a mob at Evwreni community, Delta state for killing his son, it was also discovered he had earlier killed his daughter named Princess as well.
On the 16th of September, Naajatu Ahmad (38 years old) was killed over a dispute by her fiancé, in Nomansland at Fagge Local Government Area, Kano state.
Mrs Gloria was killed by her neighbor, Vincent Ukpai over a dispute on the appropriate person to clean their compound in Elemoro, Lagos state. He also fatally wounded and killed her son in the process.
16 years old Eniola Ismail was beaten up till she died by 3 of her friends/School Colleagues at Iseyin, Oyo State.
A 38 years old Woman was stabbed to death by her Lover, Kingsley Paul (18) in Benin City, Edo state on the 6th of October.
A 13 year old girl, Oriyomi Gboyega, was found with an Islamic Cleric: Ogidan Mustapha, with her hands chopped off. He claimed that it was her father who asked him to go help them bury her far off after she got electrocuted.

Femicide is the highest manifestation of Gender Based Violence.
The intentional killing of women and girls because of a gender related motive, usually by men who are their intimate partners, friends or acquaintances.
These Women and Girls have a right to live!
