“The strategy now is if a faculty member complains about something, [the university] figure[s] out a way to shut them down.”
Major story in today’s issue of the @SpartanDaily!
@ChristianTruja2 with the scoop, read it here: https://t.co/TgbueDR5Yy
@RuthNAguilar and @IsaliaGallo have been working so hard on covering news this semester. I’m so happy your efforts are being recognized! Shoutout to news editors @Andrea_Briseno_ and @brybartlett! 💕 Much love for all my ladies in news! 💕
The @SpartanDaily was also named a nationwide finalist for Best Newspaper in the ACP Pacemaker competition. Not bad for a student newspaper at a state school on a tight budget! Also, stay tuned -- there are other awards scheduled for this weekend's ACP/CMA online convention.
The @SpartanDaily just got another national honor -- an Honorable Mention for Best Newspaper Front Page in the CMA Pinnacle competition. This means top five in the country, which is not bad at all. Congrats especially to Marci Suela for designing the Australia fire graphic.
And one more national award for the @SpartanDaily -- Isa Gallo and Ruth Noemi Aguilar take second place in Best Social Justice Reporting in the ACP Best of Show competition!
Check out this amazing story by @brybartlett and illustrated and designed by @marcesway! I’m so proud of this paper and these amazing ladies! #girlpower
