@antonioivodev@Animal_Well the terrain is dithered based on a built-in distance fader in Godot's standard material, but I used Godot visual shader nodes to make the bubble shader by pushing the screen texture's uvs through a soft noise texture!
started working on a little @Animal_Well 3D demo in #GodotEngine as a little challenge for today! trying my best to keep the feel of the mechanics true to the original while taking advantage of what's possible in 3D.
