@BobPritchett The important piece of this post I think is the notion that everything we have today is because of the labor of those who came before us. We stand on their shoulders. Some are giants, others not so much.
Pride in my ancestry? Not really. ‘Tis what it is. Not a source of pride.
@BobPritchett I have relatives in the mid 1600s who were named in the Salem Witch Trials. This fact delights me.
I also have relatives who likely did unspeakable things to Native Americans during westward expansion in the mid 1800s. This fact disgusts me.
For me, it’s a mixed bag. 🤷🏼♂️
@BobPritchett I feel like we are in a period of transition and evolution, culturally speaking. Work-based communities may suffer somewhat (though this seems to have negligible impact on the economy thus far). How will other communities (in the creative, social impact & faith spaces) fare? 🤷🏼♂️
@BobPritchett I’m less concerned about the consequences of WFH (at least for employers, they will manage), because the benefits to families of WFH are considerable.
Analog entertainment will always exist for those who seek it out (because creative people never stop creating)
@DarioinDenver Most of the people I’ve seen complaining about the length of time this has taken Landy are people who have either A) obviously never played hockey, and/or B) never had to try to go back to playing hockey after a major lower extremity injury like that. Take your time, Captain.
