@France2023 Why are you sounding so chirpy. Your system is a disgrace. Last two RWCs in Japan and Uk were by ballot. Why are you so arrogant to adopt this method of ticket allocation, where we have to queue for 5 hours and get thrown off your website. Appalling incompetence
@brianmoore666 dear Brian you should throw the book at RWC2023 for not organising a ballot to get tickets. Fiasco, 5 hours fruitless queuing on a dysfunctional website. Why not a ballot like the last 2 RWCs. French know best as they did it this way in 2007. Pure arrogance
@rugbyworldcup Completely untrue. I ve been thrown off queue 3 times now. Got to 40% best so far and then down it went. Why on earth aren’t you doing a ballot like RWC 2019 and 2015. French are differrent! At least there wasn’t panic and you either get in or you don’t. This is incompetent.
@Paulkaz12@realzoestrimpel@grantshapps@michaelgove@RishiSunak Why don’t you mind your own business. I m not in Australia, can’t get in even if I wanted to. Thousands can’t. Anyway the uk powers will see sense and will not apply hotel quarantine to all travellers. Australia wants to stay locked up, their call.
@frozenwarning@Smithy0364@realzoestrimpel@grantshapps@michaelgove@RishiSunak Yes and latest news looks like they’re going to realise you cannot hotel quarantine every arrival, just some, because there’s too many people travelling. Australia has caps hence Australians can’t get home. Common sense will prevail and it is worth putting up a counter argument
@theoleary @realzoestrimpel@grantshapps@michaelgove@RishiSunak Because they have the right too. Focus on getting home quarantining right. Many Australians don’t have a right to get home due to hotel quarantine caps, because you can’t house everyone in hotels. Looks like it will only be limited hotel quarantining. Common sense will prevail.
@Smithy0364@frozenwarning@realzoestrimpel@grantshapps@michaelgove@RishiSunak No generalisation. NZ just had a case yesterday after quarantine. hotel quarantine and moving thousands of people around into it as being mooted in UK doesn’t necessarily work. It is important that the public can hear both sides of the argument.
@TimMorton2 @realzoestrimpel@grantshapps@michaelgove@RishiSunak 1 in 10 Uk citizens live abroad, many of whom have to travel. So more than a room. Hotel quarantine is flawed as infected guests, infect staff who then transmit into the community as in Melbourne.Australians don’t have Human rights many of whom cannot get home.
@meoffg@realzoestrimpel@CitySamuel@grantshapps@michaelgove@RishiSunak Exactly, hotel quarantine doesn’t t work and never will 100%.One family of 4 with Covid in quarantine was responsible for over 90% of those deaths in Melbourne because security guards in hotel became infected and then infected the community. Focus on making home quarantine work
@frozenwarning@realzoestrimpel@grantshapps@michaelgove@RishiSunak her article said she has to travel to look after her parents. 1 in 10 Uk citizens live abroad, many of whom have to travel. So more than a room full. Hotel quarantine is flawed as guests get out and infect staff/security guards who then transmit into the community as in Melbourne
