A few days later, while aboard Air Force One, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked President Trump about Obama’s “aliens are real” remarks. President Trump responded: “He gave classified information. He’s not supposed to be doing that.”

Doocy then noted that a president can declassify anything he wants to. Trump responded: “Maybe I’ll get him out of trouble. I may get him out of trouble by declassifying.”

That statement ignited even more public interest. Then, hours later, President Trump posted the following on Truth Social:

“Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs)...”

Growing Momentum: Key Leaders in Washington Signal Serious Interest in UFOs/UAP Disclosure

A cultural shift is underway in Washington, as more elected officials step forward to engage publicly on the UFO/UAP issue, and some are going further than ever before.

@RepEricBurlison | @EricBurlison (R-MO) has emerged as one of the most vocal advocates in Congress on disclosure. From his participation in the Buga Sphere Press Conference in Mexico City, to his leading the effort to reintroduce the UAP Disclosure Act in the House, Burlison has proven a serious player in the movement for transparency. He has made notable public claims, including on two different podcasts, that the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) confirmed to him that classified UFO/UAP programs have unlawfully withheld information from Congress.

In a particularly bold moment, Burlison referenced five species of alleged Non-Human Intelligence (NHI) beings: The Reptilians, the Nordics, the Grays (both tall and short), and the Mantis (insectoid). These claims, while extraordinary, reflect a shifting “window of discourse” — ideas once relegated to the fringe are now entering the halls of power. Burlison reportedly received this information from Dr. Eric Davis, Ph.D., during the recent Understanding UAP: Science, National Security & Innovation roundtable presentation held this past May.

Meanwhile, we’re seeing unprecedented mainstream media engagement as well. In a noteworthy interview with an ABC News local affiliate, @SenatorRounds (R-SD) discussed the UAP Disclosure Act, marking the first time a sitting member of Congress has appeared on a major network to speak directly about this legislation. That alone is a sign of meaningful progress since the Act was first introduced in 2023.

And in a lighter but telling moment, @VP @JDVance made headlines during a recent appearance on The Ruthless Podcast, saying:

“I’m obsessed with the whole UFO thing… What’s actually going on, what were those videos all about? I haven’t got to the bottom of it yet, but we’re only six months in. The August recess is, in part, me trying to dive into the bottom of the whole UFO thing from last year. If there’s anything there, I’ll make sure you’re the first to know.”

While Vance’s tone leaned casual, his interest appears genuine, representing yet another signal that the UFO/UAP topic has entered the national conversation at the highest levels of government.
