“We should just share groceries and split the bill equally. So much easier.”
Week 3:
“Who finished the milk?”
“Who bought the $9 coffee?”
“Why are there 4 bags of chips?”
“WHO BOUGHT ICE CREAM?”
End of month: $142?! 😭💸

After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI?
I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev
• 20-200x faster
• 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free)
• Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions
AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution
From 2019 to 2024, I founded, built, ran Blue Sky Analytics - a climate tech startup which analysed satellite data leveraging AI to give air pollution analytics, wildfire risk and flood risk. Circa 2021, we had built models and systems to measure water quantity and changes in water quantities in water bodies, lakes, dams, river systems using satellite data. Where we struggled the most was not in technology but monetisation. In 2024, comparing to opportunity costs for founders, team, and venture investors and after couple of acquisition conversations didn’t materialize, we collectively decided to wrap the chapter up.
July 2024 to May 2025, I took a sabbatical. I still remember, the day I sent out the email to all investors re shutting down Blue Sky Analytics, one of my investors called me to ask if I was okay. My response was why what happened.
I was in a freeze state.
3 months later, the grief of a blue sky dream rained on me, it came out of nowhere and for months, grief was all I knew.
I wrapped my sabbatical with Nepal. In May 2025, we hiked 80 kms of Annapurna BaseCamp Trek. Each step of the trek, felt like a grief metabolism. I was capable of picking myself back up, of going back to work, of facing the world, as a 1x failed founder.
Today grief engulfs me again. A nation with absolute no contribution to carbon emissions facing the highest impact. The kindest nicest bravest most hardworking people of earth at the mercy of dams and early warning systems of others who couldn’t care less. Grief has engulfed me today. Studying climate, understanding climate change, building a whole climate tech company, and then choosing to wrap it up and walk away would mark the biggest helplessness and failure of my life. I hope some braver smarter better founders/ researchers pick up and succeed at what I/ our team at Blue Sky Analytics failed.
Fuck it, launching 🏢 https://t.co/sdJV6x12aH
Compete and beat your competition to stay on top.
so who's gonna last the longest on top?
(also added a lot of little nuggets & easter eggs)
@rona_forlife Same pinch! I also ordered wired earphones today and suddenly started noticing people using them. Dropped and lost my left AirPod while cycling. Would prefer wireless during workouts, though just not for cycling 😅
