SS Edmund Fitzgerald was an American Great Lakes freighter that sank in the Great Lakes during a storm on November 10, 1975.
Her crew of 29 perished, and no bodies were recovered. The exact cause of the sinking remains unknown, though many books, studies, and expeditions have tried to make sense of this compelling mystery.
I’m at a conference and was having an engaging policy discussion with a man when he said, “you know, when I graduated from high school in 2009…” and now the only thing I can focus on is how old I feel.
@ken_novak Couple that with a pandemic, both teams in the gutter the past however many years, and the bubble bursting on many DT developments nationwide, this isn’t shocking. Blaming the family is low hanging fruit but they aren’t a complete villain here, IMO. (2/2)
@ken_novak Pumping the idea of a vibrant sports district in a region where no one wants to be outside 6-8 months out of the year was always just a means to getting the arena approved & subsidized. (1/2)
