Many of the condos in this massive skyscraper condo building in Downtown Los Angeles are owned by a chineee company and sitting vacant

- There are 822 units in the condo towers
-281 of these units have the same owner, Greenland USA, a developer from China
- All 281 of their addresses have a mail vacancy designation, which means the USPS has marked those addresses as being vacant, have not received mail in the last 90 days

“Nobody lives there, to the point that nobody receives mail service. Like, no electric bills, no power bills, no phone bills, Nordstrom catalogs, nothing”

I did some research and found these are the residential towers in the ‘Metropolis complex’ in Downtown LA

The developer Greenland is the US arm of a large Chinese state-linked developer. So the Chinese government is involved

Late last evening I instructed our negotiators to return to Ottawa. We cannot accept what the U.S. has offered, and we will not give what they have asked. 

Canada will match the U.S.’ new tariffs dollar for dollar in order to protect Canadian workers, farmers, families, and businesses. We take this step confident that it is in the best interests of Canada. 

In the coming days, we will release the details of these new tariff measures, which will come into force the Tuesday after Labour Day.
