@boodster@ClueHeywood I'm sure there's better opinions on a definition, but lots of places have sports so I can deal with it. Food is probably an early strike. And you can't really get good content in a place that has stabbings or fights regularly.
Buddy at the dive bar attempting the "wear a dive bar shirt to the other dive bar so everyone knows you the real deal." The shirt is The Little Woody. I would just wear a sleeveless mesh shirt at that point, but I like looking good.
Noticed a few comments today about Turf Paradise that hinted at something. Not sure what, but this close to opening day has been the time to stir up controversy last few meets. Just hire someone with promotion experience outside of racing and make money.
@BigEasyTiger@ClueHeywood I'm not reading any of that because I'm barely literate but if there's an article about the bar in a newspaper, probably not a drive. Happy for Mr Koch tho!
@ClueHeywood I'm at Swizzle so guessing the guy got it from a promo. I'm not clear on origin of Little Woody. For some reason I have a memory of it being different when it first opened. One of my industry pals did the books early on, etc.
There is no benefit to having professional sports teams in Phoenix. They all stink and only exist because of subsidies and public funding. State Farm Stadium would make a great community center. Plane Boy can fly off forever.
This coming from a person who published an entire book about their baseball card collection and gave copies to season ticket holders as a renewal gift. Please leave the Earth forever, Ken Kendrick.
President of the Diamondbacks, Ken Kendrick:
โIf Ketel Marte is a Diamondback next season, I hope he is the player he has the talent to be. I hope he will overcome his acts of immaturity.โ
Publicly calling your star player immature.. I donโt think that usually ends well
