Just to be clear this is not the governing body for pediatricians, which is the American Academy of Pediatrics (founded in 1930) @AmerAcadPeds . This is the American College of Pediatricians (founded in 2002). And their FAQ page tries to justify why they're not ant-trans and anti-LGBTQ.

@alexdunsdon The group you cited (ACP) has about 700 members. The American Academy of Pediatrics, on the other hand, has 70,000. The AAP supports transitioning for kids that truly have gender dysphoria. These rare kids thrive after transition. ACP is driven by ideology and bias, not research.
