There’s still no government money for Brisbane researchers who’ve shown existing drugs can kill the virus in test tube studies. The public has donated more than $1 million, but now 60 hospitals want access to the human trial. @SharynGhidella@RBWHFoundation#7NEWS

This year we will not be hosting our annual Heartfelt Dinner so if you have attended our dinner or donated previously, this is a great opportunity to continue your support. All new donors are most welcome! #rbwhfoundation
From small premature babies struggling to survive infections to adults with horrific burns and trauma injuries, our research is helping to save lives. We ask you to dig deep and donate to our centre by going to the RBWH Foundation/BTCCRC Giving Day site https://t.co/ERlCJE2iEn
It was 15 years ago when Prof Jeffrey Lipman set out to form a research centre that would focus on life-saving treatments for burns patients and critically-ill patients.
Burns Trauma & Critical Care Research Centre (BTCCRC) was established in direct response to the Bali bombings
Thus, the BTCCRC was established in 2004, beginning with 3 staff members and no Higher Degree Research (HDR) students to 60 staff members and 30 HDR students in 2019. We are now one of the most prolific research centres in this area of critical care!
