Here is a piece of unsolicited advice from me to you.
Once you clock 40 stop thinking “opportunities”
Stop chasing “opportunities”
Start thinking “LEGACY”
When younger people gives you a pitch deck ,
stop asking them
When will my $500k turn to $20m
Ask them to give you a stake in the company , a stake in the idea.
let them show you the long term blue print of the company/idea and once it ticks your protocols.
Bid for equity .
When you get into board rooms , stop looking for opportunities that will flip your $1m to $5m
Negotiations should be on “Equity”
This is how you plan your exit…
This is how you leave a Legacy for the next generation.
Before you turn 50 get into at least 3 to 4 board rooms.
This is how I plan my life at 34,I don’t want to wait till I am 40.
Nigerian baby boomers lost their money in the stock market, today, you can't convince them to buy good stocks and make money.
A lot of retails who happen to be GenZ are coming on board, if they lose their hard-earned money without understanding the market, they will become apostates of the financial market just like their parents.
It will be a negative cost to the market because they are tech and social media savvy; roughly 100k Nigerians among 200 million citizens are trading.
Financial education is key.
Aliko Dangote,
Owner of the largest refinery in Africa.
Breaker of NUPENG.
Slayer of DAPPMAN.
The first Nigerian to ship fuel abroad.
The first Nigerian to own over 4,000 trucks for fuel distribution.
Conqueror of fuel queues.
Eraser of fuel scarcity.
All hail, sir! 🙌
Finally!...
Victory at last!
You can now order for fuel from the comfort of your room.
You don’t need to "know" anyone again before before venturing into filling station business.
Even comes with FREE delivery.
Thank you, Dangote!
May Nigeria succeed!
You know why some people succeed and others don't? I will tell you.
I went to play table tennis somewhere in Festac a few days ago.
There were over 20 other men there.
Business men
Rich
The parking lot was bustling with all sorts of luxury cars.
I knew a couple of popular investments that a few of them had.
Hotels
Big brands
Guess what similarities most of them had?
They were mostly uneducated.
…some never went to any school at all.
They came to Lagos as teenagers, did apprenticeships, got settled with about 2 Million naira, and went on to build big businesses.
They don’t read charts
They don’t build funnels
They do not run ads.
Just men, with strong will -
Now look at us. We have all the leverage we can imagine.
We are educated, we can build funnels, run ads, and build an audience in any part of the world.
Yet…
….we are filled with doubts, hold back and wonder whether it will work?
Why?
Simple
Because it is not all those things that make someone rich.
It is your bloody will.
You can have all the opportunities in the world, but if you lack the will to get stuff done - you are done for.
@MadProfitGuy@OurFavOnlineDoc From the comment section, I can agree with myself most of Nigerian folks are not awoke.
Keep sleeping in ignorance with your authority bias of supporting your social media influencers who are after Elon Musk payments.
Doctor is dumb and I am saying it unapologetically.
