@JamesSurowiecki Case law states clearly (and this is a simple synopsis of course) that if someone has a gun, and the LEO feels threatened, they can (and are trained to) eliminate the threat. Courts do not "2nd guess". Strap on a vest and maybe you would understand.

When you conceal carry, and don't reveal to LEOs that you are carrying (probably because you did not bring your ID and have 2 mags too) and then you resist arrest and get in a scuffle you are being so stupid and yes you can die. The LEOs make split 2nd decisions and courts do not second guess them when they feel threatened. They have the right and are trained to eliminate the threat and that's what they did.
