Also, no jarring aspect ratio shifts this time 😊

One thing though - for home release, we should get options for these formats (someone wants black bars on top or side)

IMAX 70mm is the definite version (& yes, older epics were shot in wide frames but this boxier format suits Nolan)

But not every theatre can show this format - so u crop; & true, Nolan needs to keep this in mind & then frame every shot

I am going to cheat and instead of a moment, I am picking an edition. More specifically the last 10 days of IPL 2014.

*flashback time*

I am a KKR supporter. IPL 2014 was not going well for KKR. The team had just managed 2 wins out of first 7 games. Defending champions MI too had a nightmarish start to the season, losing first 5 games in a row.

But both teams picked up form in the second half. With just last game of the league stage remaining, KKR had secured the playoff berth but it required a big win against SRH in the last game to over CSK in NRR and book a Qualifier 1 slot. While MI needed to win big in its last game to qualify for the Eliminators.

And there were two back to back blockbuster chases. Yusuf Pathan was more or less considered an underpar performer for KKR given how KKR broke the bank to get him in auction. But he paid back his fee that night by breaking the record of fastest fifty in IPL till that point. KKR chased 160 in 14 overs to book a Qualifier 1 spot.

The next night (last day of league stage) the iconic Aditya Tare moment happened. MI even went one better and chased down 190 in 14.4 overs. But the catch here was to qualify for the playoffs ahead of Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians needed to complete the chase by scoring 190 runs in 14.3 overs or 191 runs in 14.4 overs. They were 189 in 14.3 overs, so had missed the mark with two runs needed to win, but Aditya Taare hit a six in next delivery (and it was the only delivery he faced in that match) to change the NRR equation. Absolute cinema.

Playoff lineups were out. I was in Mumbai back then. Friends (mostly MI fans) asked me if I want to go for Qualifier 2 at Wankhede. We expected that match to be MI vs KKR. Funnily enough, MI lost to CSK in Eliminator and KKR defeated KXIP to directly move to the final. So the game became CSK vs PBKS.

We got into the stadium. It was sea of folks in Dhoni's 7 jersey. The next most common jersey in the crowd was Maxwell's, who had a major breakout season that year. Match began. Sehwag took apart CSK and KXIP posted 226. At break, most of us were convinced the match is over. But then we got to saw the most hyped innings of IPL history so far live at the stadium. Suresh Raina's 87(25). 226 started looking like a joke, as if CSK is going to chase it down in merely 15-16 overs. But Raina got runout and CSK choked. KXIP reached its first final.

Final day. Somewhere around 10th over in first innings a friend called and asked to come to United Cafe at R-City Ghatkopar. The plan was to watch rest of the match on big screen at a lounge. By the time we reached 2nd innings had began. KXIP had posted 199. Once I reached there, I realized that the most of the crowd in the cafe were supporting KXIP. Infact it was mostly sardars in KXIP jersey. KKR started poorly. With every wicket there were loud cheers. But then Manish Pandey and Yusuf Pathan started to fight back. I started cheering after every boundary. And I was the only one cheering. Got side eyed multiple times. In the end KKR won it the final over. 2nd title in three years in the bag. Equalled CSK who were the only other team to have two titles back then. Also made the record of longest winning streak in IPL in the process which is yet to be broken. And everyone in KXIP jersey in the cafe came shook my hand and congratulated me as if I am part of winning squad in the ground. Very wholesome moment.

Overall my best memories of any IPL so far.
