@undeadsocialist@Iron_Spike Russia is (or was until the war) the biggest financial supporter of basically every far right group in Europe. Alexander Dugin is the ideological/philosophical intellectual thinker for a lot of these groups
@undeadsocialist@Iron_Spike I never said they supported this group I said they supported a lot of far right groups in Europe. And there is ample evidence for that. From Fidusz and AfD to the Identitarian Movement. And it pays off, the groups they supported are now all on Russias side in the war
@undeadsocialist@Iron_Spike Are you seriously denying that Russia has been supporting far right groups in Europe for years, financially and ideologically?
@undeadsocialist@Iron_Spike I'm aware of Operation Gladio, and what the CIA did in Europe, and I'm in no way saying that American far-right groups aren't influential here. But it's 2022 not 1990. Russia has definitely supported European far-right groups for decades now. Whether they did it here, I can't say
@Iron_Spike Also the whole "Reichsbürger" movement isn't exactly new, they are basically just the German version of sov cit. But their numbers grew a lot during the pandemic, because if you believe in one conspiracy (e.g chips in vaccines) it's easy to believe in others
@Iron_Spike Well these people apparently believed that Russia was their most important political partner. But according to the police the russians didn't support them.
@PasturesPolitic But also as a farmer if you're already switching to organic you can get a better price for bio dynamic than just organic, at least with already more pricey items like beef, fancy cheese, wine
@PasturesPolitic It's still rather big in Germany. My problem with them (beside the nazi history) is that while they have some good and holistic ideas, there is just so much woo that farmers have to follow to get the label.
Stunning to watch my entire trans TL crystallize their thinking on who owes whom gender recognition at any given time.
It really comes down to this: are pronouns a courtesy, or an expression of truth?
@onionweigher I have to add Chienbäse to this list. On the sunday after Ash Wednesday people will carry big bundles of burning pinewood though the old town of Liestal in Switzerland. https://t.co/W5slIOToyG
