@breath103@business Good alalogy, toys are valuable but not in a productive way. Many developers are bored and they like playing with new stuff, even if its a clear net negative

This is actually a bigger Steam Controller update than it sounds.
• SDL3 now supports the new 2026 Steam Controller outside of Steam
• That means games using SDL can work with it even if the Steam client is not running
• Touchpads, stick capacitive touch, and grip sense support are part of the push
• This is a big win for Linux and non-Steam use in general
• Valve also pushed firmware tweaks for rumble/gyro and trackpad behavior
Seeing Bitcoin wallets with 500+ dependencies makes me think my time would be better spent just stealing Bitcoin rather than trying to build things the right way.
What are these clowns even doing…

It won the L’Œil d’or at Cannes this year as well as the Golden Globe.

The LPDDR4/5 RAM shortage might impact us more than the chip shortages a few years ago, if this holds up.
Seeing SBCs go from $35-45 to like $60+ for even low-end models will be sad, but I don't think impossible.
It affects smaller manufacturers even more than RPi...
