@UrPolyglot usually for me what it keeps me going is if i have a friend who is native in that language or just someone who is learning it with me :')

I'm learning very basic grammar, but it has proved to be a bit harder than japanese

Kana (hiragana & katakana) will be easily achieved in 2 weeks but kanji will take you much longer, it's a process.
