Over the last year I've been working on a better game feel in #CHAIRChampions!

One complaint from players was that they don't know why something happened in the game, so I've added in-game feedback, which also makes the game feel more intense!😌😏

@goldfishgamesco Definitely! Sometimes it's just a subtle addition, but can make a huge difference in feel!

Falling off the chair was hard to see, especially when there were many opponents on the screen...

Now, there's a slowmo effect & the screen turns gray for a short time. MUCH better!😉

I wanted to create a night scene for Halloween, so I played around with tinting the whole picture and creating light masks that suit the graphics style... And here we are 😉
I'm using the light mask of the light posts also for car headlights on one of the tracks!

The pigeons walk & fly, can be chased away & eat the food.
And the old man smiles when pigeons come eating & gets annoyed when the player chases them away!😅

This little detail was planned from the beginning on! If you can chase pigeons away, you can also do that while they're eating - which will OF COURSE annoy the old man who is always coming to this bench to feed his bird friends 😉
... And yeah, FSMs can be bitchy!🙄
