The London Black Taxi is my main mode of transport.
Since LTN in West Greenwich has been implemented it has made access extremely difficult. Journey times have increased, which means it now costs me more to leave the house. @Royal_Greenwich have you forgotten about the Disabled?
Traffic is being held at the #Dartford river crossing tunnels @DartCharge due to a vehicle fire within the west tunnel.
Current delays of 45 minutes on the approach, with 5 miles of congestion.
Today was a great day Aiden became London's next young Cabbie only just 23 ! We are extremely proud and grateful he chose us to start his career with!! BE LUCKY!! #Toesup though son!!
I will be supporting Poppy Cabs again this year, it’s a very rewarding day and gives time to catch up with old friends on Westminster Bridge.
You can get your Poppy Cabs badge from the Taxi Shelters or JV Brights in GSS.
Suggested donation for the badge of £5 each
Morning all.

A final farewell to Ricky Hatton. 🩵
Thousands gathered to pay their respects as the boxing legend’s funeral procession made its way through the streets, led by a classic Only Fools and Horses Reliant Regal, a heartfelt nod to Hatton’s favourite TV show.
A fitting tribute to a man who was as much loved outside the ring as he was in it. 🫶
Patrick Murray
It is with heartfelt sadness that we report the death of our friend Patrick Murray - Mickey Pearce to so many
He was a regular attendee of our conventions and we will miss his humour and the joy he bought to many
Sleep Well Pat!
Just dropped off @PoppyCabs badges & flyers @Suziegrosvenor1 Grosvenor Gardens @ShelterFund and bumped into the runners & riders @TomTaxiDriver@PaulParklane and others on the Charity run for the Shelter Fund this morning.
Off to the next Shelter now....
Today we lost not only one of Britain’s greatest boxers, but a friend, a mentor, a warrior, Ricky Hatton.
As fighters, we tell ourselves we’re strong — we train, we sweat, we take hits, we get up. But sometimes the hardest fight happens in silence, in the mind. Mental health isn’t weakness. It’s part of being human. And we must talk about it. We must reach out. We must lean on each other.
Ricky, thank you for everything. For your fights, your moments of glory, your grit. Thank you for pushing us, showing us what’s possible.
To everyone reading this: if you’re hurting or struggling, you are not alone. Talk. Reach out. Because we need more light, more compassion, more understanding.
Rest well, Ricky. You’ll always have your place in the ring of our memories. 🕊️💔
We done our best to get you to your destinations this week …. Use trusted black taxis … we never surge … always wheelchair friendly … always with a smile 24/7 for Londons people ❤️
