“Let India Choose What It Eats”

The demand is simple: over 75% of India’s population of non-muslims cannot be served Halal certified food on sly.

Right now, that choice barely exists. Delhi's own civic bodies found that restaurants, dhabas, hotels or banquet halls serve only halal, on sly.

Halal label isn't stopping at meat. Private bodies issue these certificates on everyday goods even as there’s no legal halal sanctity. It’s a huge parallel economy meant to damage India.

In the Supreme Court, the Solicitor General said certifiers earn huge sums & asked why the whole country should bear the cost of certification that only some consumers want. That question deserves an answer.

The people paying the price are real. Hindus, Sikhs can eat only jhatka, yet halal sellers have pushed jhatka traders to the margins of their own trade.

The fix costs nothing: label it. Delhi has already made restaurants & shops display whether they serve halal or jhatka. Jaipur's meat sellers are doing the same. Make it the rule across Bharat & ensure its compliance.

Transparency isn't hostility. It's consumer rights. Put it on the board & let people decide.
