@weedthepplsocal@hell_line0 Except Patrick really did try to help. Did he do everything perfectly? No. But he did a lot. You would charge him for a crime he had no involvement in because you donโt like the effort he put in? Come on.
@HThoughts2005@hell_line0 As a woman who believes that the patriarchy gets away with a lot of shit while women so often pay a higher price in certain regards, I fully agree with you. Men are abused by women, SAโd by women, stalked by women, and no one takes it seriously.
@Lougotfacts@hell_line0 Perhaps he acquiesced to what she wanted because he didnโt want to add to the problem. So many seem to conveniently forget how utterly unreasonable and over emotional we women can be. I could understand vilifying him if he literally did nothing to help her.
@EmpireCrusader@owl_elc She had mental health issues. She didnโt want to go back to work after her third child was born so he became the sole breadwinner so she would not have to work. What a horrible guy. He went to appts with her. He checked her into a facility to get her help. He tried.
@tennisalt@owl_elc Well he was at workโฆin his basement. He wasnโt self-employed. He worked a โregularโ job. When he was on the clock, his time belonged to the people who were paying him to do a job. So she probably knew to give him space while he was at work.
@EHolmgren5@owl_elc@EmilyPaducha Thank you! And donโt you think her defense would be selling โhe really did itโ as hard as they could? Her own defense doesnโt refute that she did it. Could Patrick have done things differently? Sure. But he was the sole breadwinner. He was working while he was home.
