@markwarne They were here and landed at the American Ambassadors house at the end of my road. I saw, 3 Chinook's, 2 Marine one's, an Apache and two police heli's. Trump will be hanging at his house next week ;)
@AlexanderVelky Yes, indeed there are ... don't leave a toddler unattended, they may eat them all and get violently ill! (I remember that clearly I was so ill!) Sorry, been off radar, got the box down so there's more pics to follow at some point. I mostly use facebook
@AlexanderVelky Thank you for the email! :) I will go through and reply properly in due course. (Busy week) Forgot to say, my second born (M21) was christened at St Dogmaels in 1997 :) the after do was at Trefach. yes, you can use any pics I've sent :)
@AlexanderVelky Yes, I have been back there. Maybe 5 or 6 years ago, maybe more ... My old brain aint what it was! It had been tastefully modernised but it held it's character. It certainly looks barer now, I love the idea of chickens! I've not seen it so clear over the back on the right before!
@AlexanderVelky This would have been the mid to late 80's from my camera at a guess. The markings you see now, was the Veranda my grandfather made. It had corrugated plastic roof, great noise in the Welsh rain! we'd sit there for nibbles at 6pm.
@AlexanderVelky Hi! Just fell on your Cwm Isaf blog and couldn't see where to comment. So I stalked you, seen so many lovely pictures of Cwm Isaf, it warms my heart! I'm Susan & Damiaen Van Doorninck's granddaughter, my (late) Dad made that Cwm Isaf sign :)
Rosa @ Alt-Y-Gog farm, used to look after my grandmother. She does love to talk too lol! My grandmother was tiny, but a huge character! like a tipsy toddler she was! 🤣We still come and stay at Trallwyn from time to time but it's been a while!
@AlexanderVelky Yes it was always running. I can still hear it when I try :D it was the sound I'd sleep to. My bedroom was the front room on the right upstairs. my grandparents ashes were mixed together and shared between St Dogmaels and the river :)
@AlexanderVelky It all seems fairly accurate :) It's an amazing place! I spent much of my childhood there, my dad also built the lower wall at the front of the house. Cwm Isaf is a huge character! I'll put some stuff together 4 you. I'm so glad to see it full of life again!
