Today is 1 year since the Cayman Islands borders has been closed . We adhered to the rules from 6pm curfews , 24 hour lockdowns on weekends, shopping by last name , mandatory mask requirement and flattened the curve . Our gathering limit is now 500. No mask!.

Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month
Whew.
I debated whether I should make this post, especially since just three weeks ago I experienced a mental breakdown—a depression relapse, really. But this is exactly what this month is for... right?
If you're familiar with my platforms, then my mental health journey is no secret. When I started in media six years ago, I made a conscious decision to include conversations around mental health in my content to help reduce the stigma surrounding it.
Six years later, we're not fully there, but we've made progress.
Every season of my podcast, I try to include at least one episode focused on mental health. On my radio show, I make it a point to regularly create space for these conversations. The goal has always been simple: normalize speaking openly and honestly about our experiences.
This journey hasn't been easy.
In 2019, I lost my job and found myself flat on my face—financially, emotionally, and spiritually.
In June 2022, I lost my father. Four months later, I lost someone I loved deeply.
There have been many moments along the way that made me want to throw in the towel.
But if there's one thing I've learned, it's that healing isn't linear. Some days are better than others, and that's okay.
To all the men reading this:
It's okay to not be okay.
It's okay to feel.
It's okay to not have everything figured out.
Society often tells us we shouldn't cry, shouldn't be vulnerable, shouldn't express what we're carrying. But I'm here to tell you that's a lie.
Seek help if you need it.
Talk to someone you trust.
Find healthy ways to cope.
Take care of your mental health the same way you take care of your physical health.
Take it one day at a time.
And breathe.
You've made it this far. You can make it
through the next moment too. 🙏🏾💙

Chat, I’ve trying to get a job (preferably public sector) since last year October and I kid you not, not one call back. Revamped my resume. My experiences are: office admin, data entry and ICT support, HR manager, bank customer support. Studied business management at UWI etc.
Ladies, sharpen your discernment. Stay prayed up. Observe longer.
Everything that wants you does not wish you well.
Not every connection is sent to love you.

Now that both sides has shared their parts , this is how I feel about this entire fiasco :
Men who can’t control you will try to control the narrative. Watching Chad obsess over Drezel felt less like heartbreak and more like entitlement.
Some men are sassy, vindictive, and loud when their ego is bruised . And yes sometimes you’re not sleeping with love, you’re sleeping with opposition.
A fan. A watcher. A monitoring spirit wanting access! .
They failed a World Cup group project that about 2.8 million Jamaican people worked on with them. And while we were grieving, the people who made us lose were frolicking with all the energy, drive, and commitment they should have left on the field at “The Office”, with not a care in the goddamn world.
We could go back to the Men’s World Cup once again since 1998. Half the country wasn’t even alive or sensible then. And we could go with the EASIEST group we have EVER faced. No Mexico, no Canada, and no United States to get in our way. With the greatest number of spaces in the competition’s history. A little focus and we could pass.
Jamaican fans did our part. We supported, came out in yellow/gold and filled the National Stadium, and watched and cheered. Half of the country, even without light and water post- Hurricane #Melissa, handed in their part of the group project by going to the stadium or watching the game on screens by generators. Even if people didn’t watch and didn’t care, they were at least sending good vibes and looking out to see how we did.
The project wasn’t going well already, but we still supported after the Curacao first leg loss and the Snacksy draw. We were 2nd in the group, and a clear win would push us to a passing grade. Just need to focus now.
So when they were seen out on the town the night before the match, a no-no if you are going to maintain fitness and stamina for the most important part of the group project that only they can do, people were rightly pissed.
But, on Tuesday night, we watched a side with no shape, no clear system, a disallowed Curacao goal that made us grieve (the only actual goal of the night), a single Jamaican shot on target, no creativity, a disallowed penalty for us (the heights of joy then the depths of despair), an unnecessary red card that pushed us down to 10 men and limited options, and a group of players who struggled to string passes together scrambling to the end. It was embarrassing.
And two of the men who visibly featured in that loss were now frolicking.
They didn’t just “go out after the game”. They went AFTER playing poorly, breaking the nation’s heart (I did not sleep that night), and AFTER our head coach resigned when they still have a statistical chance to still make it to the World Cup.
They didn’t go out for quiet drinks to commiserate, they painted the town red with cash, midnight ballerinas, and fresh outfits that showed they got home and went to frolic before the fans even got a chance to leave. All that energy and commitment wasn’t left on the field, they reserved it to party. And party they did. No thanks to the fans or the nation, just a commitment to enjoying their vacation that the WORLD CUP QUALIFYING FOOTBALL MATCH SEEMS TO HAVE INTERRUPTED!
They didn’t ‘just’ go out. They decided to say FU to everyone who believed in them in live and living colour.
@LambertBrownJa Wagga Wagga why don’t u get out of your bed and lead a relief effort . Today is day 8 since Melissa and what have done but chat and criticize. Election done from Sept 3 rd . It’s time to FOR ALL HANDS ON DECK TO HELP ALL
🇯🇲
Found the family. They're in Bybrook Park in St Elizabeth.
If you're interested in sending any item to this family or for the children, you can contact.
Aiming to do so by this evening.
New images being added everyday. You can zoom to find your family's houses if you want to check on if they had any damages. Especially if you haven't heard from them.
Just saying “Darliston” and “Petersfield”
doesn’t narrow down the specific communities in the area, I know I left out more than half of a lot but I made a list of some of the communities in each vicinity please help us🙏🏽❤️

The past few days have taught me a lot about Americans:
1. They love fearmongering.
2. They have very little awareness of what’s happening outside their own country.
3. Geography definitely isn’t their strong suit.
4. They can’t resist spreading “misinformation” as if it were fact.
5. They often seem to wish the worst for other countries.
6. Their grasp of the English language isn’t as strong as they think.
7. Many are just plain ignorant.
Did I miss anything?
