DO NOT INVEST IN $SOFI STOCK !!!
YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING
Why you should absolutely NOT invest in $SOFI:
• Revenue grew only 43% YoY vs. ~7.6% for peer banks
→ Just 6x faster. WEAK GROWTH compared to peers.
• Earnings grew only 61% YoY vs. ~13.7% for peer banks
→ Just 4.5x faster. UNACCEPTABLY low profit growth.
• Members grew only 35% YoY
→ Just 0.01% of Earth’s population. NO GROWTH!
• Products grew only 42% YoY
→ TERRIBLE engagement.
• Tangible book value/share grew only 56% YoY
→ HORRIBLE balance-sheet compounding.
And all of this while $SOFI trades at roughly ~2x tangible book.
Imagine paying the same price for a bank growing revenue ~6x faster and earnings ~4.5x faster than its' peers.
LMAO ARE YOU THAT STUPID?
It will likely go BANKRUPT soon! Based on these numbers.
Clearly a $6 stock. Stay away at all costs..
Bricks and Minifigs are moving forward with their lawsuit against Reckless Ben and the Mansell family 🤦♂️
Have they learned nothing over the past few weeks?
It's almost like they are determined to lose the respect of their customer base. I ask again, WHO IS ADVISING THESE GUYS?
Honestly, I’m starting to lose faith in people.
The vitriol and poor decorum directed toward @anthonynoto genuinely troubles me. I understand that the teachings of Stoicism encourage us to rise above such behaviour, to focus on what we can control, and to remain unmoved by the opinions of others. Yet I find it difficult to stand by silently when I see someone being treated unfairly and, in many cases, unjustifiably.
Fortunately, one of the hallmarks of great leadership is the ability to remain focused on a larger mission despite the noise. Anthony appears to possess that quality in abundance. He seems undeterred in pursuing what he has often described as his life’s ambition, regardless of the criticism that surrounds him.
Still, I feel compelled to speak up. Not because criticism should be silenced, but because balance matters. For every outlandish comment, there are countless shareholders who deeply appreciate and respect what he has built, the vision he has articulated, and the discipline with which he continues to execute.
“Character is revealed not when things are easy, but when adversity arrives. The measure of a leader is not whether they attract criticism, but whether they remain steadfast in pursuit of a worthy aim despite it.”
Happy everyone enjoyed the Anthony Noto Episode. We’ll have more clips of it posting throughout the week.
Really grateful to SoFi for giving us the opportunity and hoping to turn Basis Points into a platform for any CEO/Executive to come on and have an honest conversation with retail investors.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to watch this weekend!
Commercial payments is a $400B+ market. Barely touched. This week on @basispointpod, @SoFi CEO @anthonynoto mentioned Mesh as a commercial payments partner, noting "most people don't know about" it yet. They will. Proud to be part of this vision.

SoFi CEO Anthony Noto on how big SoFi can become:
"I'll say this and get criticized for this, but it's what I truly believe, I don't see why it can't be a trillion dollar company. At the end of the day, we are trying to solve something people really care about, achieve the American dream. It's 100% what we can deliver."
$SOFI
"Does it bother me the stock is down as much as it is year to date? Yeah, it f****** bothers me a ton. At the end of the day, we're being held to a high standard. I've accepted that responsibility and I'll work my butt off to make sure we deliver on it."

Short Report
I seriously doubt this short report was reviewed to any great extent by their in house counsel.
No lawyer would have allowed their unsupported allegations, which could be viewed as defamatory.
People have a lot of leadway on opinions. But this crosses the line.
I don't say this lightly, but the SEC may want to investigate this situation.

New short report
My initial reactions is this is another guy trying to support his short thesiswith what is at best disingenuous attempt again at fair value calculations and is a rehash of prior arguments.
It's a similar argument to what if..... if they sell pre default loans they have to take those losses into extent in the year of the sale... to take those losses and then apply it across the board to all loans in a fair value calculation would be a miss matching of defaults. And not accurate
The fair value calculations determine default rates on the loans left between a borrower and a seller for the entire term of the loans so saying that losses on the loans sold (which are effectively termed out at a sale) should directly effect the fair value calculation of the remaining loans is simply not accurateand isn't relevant.
Remember sofi still estinated default rates over the term of the loans of about 7% as I recall.
Your intent to sell loans before they default does not change the default percentages used in a fair value calculation. This is because fair value is a market-based measurement, not an entity-specific one.
This report is simply disingenuous
In 2024 $SoFi was under attack much like now. Market makers spread FUD with countless stories snd downgrades.
Similar to now you'd hear how loan quality was going to blow up. @DataDInvesting wrote a great article about how management hedges loans and removes much of that risk!
$SoFi shares drop as short seller Muddy Waters takes aim at company
