The engagement aims at strengthening partnerships and addressing skills gaps, developing a partnership framework and establishing coordination mechanisms among stakeholders
Participants are focusing on improving coordination among stakeholders, aligning training programmes with labour market needs, and promoting public-private partnerships. The overall objective is to develop a joint roadmap for inclusive skills development.
Discussions are expected to result in operational recommendations and a joint action plan aimed at strengthening the effectiveness of TVET systems in Djibouti and across the IGAD region. #IGADEducation

๐Its a Wrap! The Gender and Equity Integration in Health Emergency Preparedness and Response (GENPAR) Training, has closed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The training organised under the the Health Emergency Preparedness, Response and Resilience Programme (#HEPRRP) for East and Southern Africa, was aimed at mainstreaming gender and equity in epidemic preparedness and response plans, using the @WorldBankGroup's #GENPAR Tool.
Participants explored a range of themes including gender and equity in areas of surveillance, laboratory functioning and quality, risk communications and community engagement, human resources, among others.
#Today, Participants had a study tour to the @EPHIEthiopia assessing the progress the Institution has made in mainstreaming gender and equity inclusion in operational procedures.
The @IGADsecretariat and @ECSA_HC are the regional coordinating institutions supporting the implementation of the Programme.

The 76th Health Ministers Conference has officially concluded in Ezulwini, with Ministers of Health from the East, Central and Southern Africa region adopting 10 landmark resolutions that set a bold course for stronger, more equitable, and resilient health systems.
The resolutions commit Member States to:

โ๏ธ Strengthen preparedness for health emergencies and climate shocks
โ๏ธ Advance adolescent, youth, and mental health
โ๏ธ Integrate regional health data and digital governance
โ๏ธ Tackle NCDs, communicable diseases, and NTDs
โ๏ธ Invest in health workforce leadership and capacity
โ๏ธ Promote local manufacturing for health security
โ๏ธ Deepen partnerships and regional solidarity
Adopted under the theme โEnhancing Health Systems for Equity, Resilience and Sustainability,โ these resolutions reaffirm the regionโs collective resolve to translate dialogue into action and deliver better health outcomes for all.
