@LaTrioli@electionsvic I found a new trend of the party reps speaking to people while in line to vote. I’m happy to run the gauntlet of the paper handout people at the entry to a polling station, but please give me peace once I’m in the actual line to vote! #VicVotes22
@noplaceforsheep Apparently https://t.co/GUpOiW3OQ8 is looking promising, but in Beta still. There is a long wait list and they are starting from scratch, but it's led by ex-CEO of Waze and IMO has a chance of success
@Emmyjewel I don't understand why all these absolutists weren't happy with Parlour and Truth Social. They can say anything they want over there. Why hijack Twitter?
And this is an ad-driven business. Advertisers will leave in droves along with moderates if extremists can roam free.
@Emmyjewel@SamHarrisOrg@JeremyRedfernFL Those other platforms are of no use to me. Their TOS permit behaviour I'd rather avoid. Twitter always kept some semblance of limits on how horrible people could be. But no longer.
That's what Sam is questioning - is allowing the trash talk the only way of dealing with it? No
@Emmyjewel@SamHarrisOrg@JeremyRedfernFL "They just need to be able to be heard..."
They can be heard on plenty of other platforms (Parlour, Truth social, Infowars, Fox, the list goes on). They are hardly silenced. Surely you appreciate that Twitter has a TOS that needs to be adhered to and they knowingly broke those?
@DarkDuck03@HelenKennedy@elonmusk The poll was conducted for Elon’s followers only. Most following Elon are his fans, so there is sample bias for starters. I didn’t even know it was there and didn’t vote. The poll ran for a day only, so if you didn’t log on, you didn’t see it. Biased to his eager fans
