Travelling with 3 children under 4 and just waiting for @KenyaAirways to
cancel my 2nd flight in 48hrs (not fog, just incompetence). Never, never, never again!!
@antonyslumbers Took me a while to get around to reading but is an interesting summary. The potential of remote working to open job markets up to wider geographies (and i’m not just talking about a few miles out of town - more different parts of the planet) is going to be interesting
@antonyslumbers That’s before you start questioning quality of home environments and whether wfh is going to be a barrier to social mobility etc. So yes, everyone should be thinking about work with a more open approach but it is not one or the other
@antonyslumbers I have no doubt that wfh can be a solution for some workers and industries, whether as a few days a week, or even in its entirety. My point is that the original quote about WFH productivity vs office is facile as it totally depends on industry, type of work, type of employee etc

@dlharrell @Shaftesburyplc Correct. Vacancy is 10% but that’s twice what it was. Likely heading in one direction unless rents are actually market to market / reality as opposed to what the valuers say they are / were.
Pandemic toll hits Shaftesbury as vacancy rate doubles... and yet the @Shaftesburyplc response is that vacancy > accepting rents below old ERVs on renewals. Broken model based on flawed valuation system which we have seen before in retail.
