There are statments in your article which, while factually correct fail to adequately detail the scenario in which someone would run afoul of the law due to this rule change. I suggest you take this down and have someone more knowledgeable in firearm law proof read it.
"Only when a shoulder stock is “removed” should it be considered an NFA weapon, per ATF’s explanation." Citation needed. In no documentation has the ATF stated that the removal of a stock would classify a previously legal rifle as a now controlled NFA item.
