Smart Accounts are not limited to minting FXRP or depositing into specific vaults.

Custom Instructions allow an XRPL signature to authorize more general actions on Flare through the user’s Smart Account.

There are two ways to pass the instruction:

• 0xFF: include the full encoded operation in the XRPL memo.

• 0xFE: include a hash in the memo, while the full operation is supplied separately by an executor.

This means an XRPL user can ultimately interact with arbitrary Flare smart contracts without needing an EVM wallet.

XRPL becomes an authorization layer for programmable actions on Flare.
