im starting from scratch again
new newsletter
15 followers on this account
no proven distribution strategy
the goal: grow @GivingRevenue from 0 → 5,000 newsletter subscribers by September 30
im going to document the experiments, numbers, mistakes and everything I try to get there
follow to see if i can actually pull it off
im debating whether multiple Reddit accounts actually help with distribution or just create unnecessary complexity
my current instinct is that one account with genuine history and credibility is worth more than five accounts that obviously exist to market something
thoughts?
@betweenprompts@Isaac_Dev0 rely on other platforms. for example, engage on Reddit through comments or posts people actually want to see// create an IG account and post engaging content there + plug your business or service.
hope that helps!
one thing I’m doing differently with IGR is building the audience before the first issue exists
the newsletter launches September 2
until then, most of my work is going into giving people a reason to care before I ask them to read anything
@ijustvibecoded focusing on Reddit and IG distribution. ive got a bit of experience on both and in the past they both worked (with low effort) so going harder this time
my last newsletter reached 62 subscribers then i lost focus
wasn’t passionate enough about the idea and, probably more importantly, I barely promoted it
this time I’m treating distribution as part of the product from day one
the idea behind @GivingRevenue is simple:
take interesting internet businesses and figure out how they actually make money but “in-depth”
i love understanding why Duolingo, Reddit or Vinted works instead of reading another list of startup headlines
