Big Tech doesn’t get to put profits over our kids. I’m taking on companies like Meta and TikTok to hold them accountable for harming young people. As Attorney General, I’ll keep fighting to protect our kids, stand up to powerful corporations, and make sure no one is above the law.

This is a KNOCKOUT!
In the mid-1990s, Ashley Judd was building real momentum. Ruby in Paradise had shown audiences a grounded, intelligent performer, and bigger studio opportunities were beginning to arrive.
One of those meetings, arranged while she was filming Kiss the Girls, was supposed to be a simple business breakfast at the Peninsula Beverly Hills. Instead, she was directed upstairs to a hotel room.
Harvey Weinstein appeared in a bathrobe and began pressing for a massage, then for her to watch him shower. She refused repeatedly. To create an exit, she finally offered a conditional bargain—she would only agree if she won an Oscar in one of his films. He countered with a nomination; she insisted on a win, then left.
She kept working and delivered strong performances afterward, yet certain doors that had seemed open narrowed or closed without explanation. For years the pattern felt vague.
Clarity arrived in 2017 when Peter Jackson described how Miramax had advised him against casting Judd (and Mira Sorvino) in The Lord of the Rings, describing them as difficult to work with.
Jackson later concluded the information had been false and part of a retaliatory smear. Judd recalled meeting the filmmakers, discussing possible roles, and then hearing nothing further.
While Hollywood measured progress by the next major role, Judd expanded her life elsewhere. She completed a mid-career master’s degree in public administration at Harvard’s Kennedy School in 2010 and deepened long-running humanitarian work focused on gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive rights, and girls’ education.
She later served as a UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador, traveling to conflict zones, refugee camps, and communities affected by trafficking and inequality.
When The New York Times published its 2017 investigation into Weinstein’s pattern of misconduct, Judd attached her name to her account. She was among the earliest public voices in what became a much larger set of allegations.
Speaking carried risks of further professional and personal cost, yet she chose to do so without waiting for institutional permission. The central decision in her story was not a role written for her; it was the choice, years after the hotel room, to treat her own experience as something worth stating on the record.

🚨 256M Antidepressant Prescriptions ‼️
When SSRIs launched, the FDA was overwhelmed with reports of suicide, homicide, and mass shootings.
Lawsuits revealed the pharma industry knew the risks but covered them up.
A 1991 FDA hearing of victims' and families' heartbreaking testimony was compelling enough to take these products off the market.
Last year, HHS RFK Jr. indicated NIH is studying the potential linkage of SSRIs to mass shootings.
Factually, 100% of teen mass shooters have been on SSRIs.
Separately, withdrawal from these products has been described as bad as heroin.
What's the solution?
Should a comprehensive alternative strategy to SSRIs be considered?
Seems Big Pharma is getting flush with $ while more Americans are getting depressed?
