In reality, Earth wouldn’t remain intact like this. I’m genuinely concerned about the rise of Muslim extremism. What scares me is seeing people embrace radical views and show hostility towards the very society they live in, while at the same time benefiting from welfare and services funded by hardworking taxpayers. It really depends on the black hole. With a smaller one, the tidal forces would probably spaghettify you before or around the event horizon. With a supermassive black hole, though, you could actually cross the event horizon without noticing anything dramatic at first. There’s no wall or surface to hit.
