@JosephGriffinJG This is IT!!! You can absolutely adjust the play-calling to the talent & physical abilities you are working with. It takes swallowing pride & reflection on your typical style of play-calling. This ability is what separates Elite Play-callers from Average or dyfunct ones.
@jordankaye_23 Ok. You had a great practice then either A.) the coaching staff did not prepare the team properly for what OU was going to do or B.) we don’t have the same level of talent as OU. I coached 🏈 for 15 years & played for 7 years & “great” practices dont =💩unless A or B is true.
@jordankaye_23 Playing OL is a mentality! I was coached my boy to “Be the Bully”! You have to be the aggressor or you will be the victim in the trenches. No place for the timid
@DCPandC I get what Tree is saying, chemistry between the group is important & difficult with injuries. However the commutation & in-play adjusting has not been good at any point over the last few years. This is a prep issue. These guys have to have stunts/blitz thrown at them everyday.
@ALyon_SC LaNorris is gone. NFL is feening for him & he will be better development there. Losing Dylan could be a strong possibility. Season will be over after Clemson game so if he get onto hiring the best damn OC money can buy & that will give our offense an identity Players will stay
@DCPandC Play-calling is the only change that feesable at this point in the season. We have to adjust for the OL deficiency. LaNorris needs to roll out more, we need to go tempo more often, & misdirection in the run game. This will take some pressure off the OL.
@BruinNationBBQ I totally don’t want to fire Beamer. He is the best recruiter around, players want to play for him, & he truly wants to be here like his dad was at VT. He has got to hire a better OC. White struggled to begin with but he humbled himself & restructured way viewed the D & improved.
@Big_Eazzzzy He had to suspend 3 kids this week. Sounds like things aren’t going well. If he has not lost them it is for sure on the way toward that. They aren’t naive they know the chances of winning games with this team’s state are quickly decreasing.
@GamecocksInside Always been a Beamer Believer, but unfortunately I feel the exact same way. He over performed his first two seasons, but then proceeded to have two Ass seasons & one good season in between. I said there was no excuse for a let down season this year with the talent & I meant it.
@Grayson__24 Went to the USC Football Coaches Clinic when Spurrier was coaching & I took so many notes during Shawn’s OL talk. He knows his stuff when it comes to the “big uglies”
