Leninism introduced the idea of 'the Party' to guide a society to statelessness. They're very different. It's why the word 'Communism' is so misued

@peterrhague Uber surge pricing is designed to increase supply by incentivising offline or out of area drivers to meet demand. It has a functional benefit.

Comparing it with Ticketmaster surge pricing is disingenuous.

Summer holidays costing more can be planned for. Tickets doubling in price while you're in the queue can't. It's a psychology trick to exploit the sunk cost fallacy. It's also extremely unethical.

But British Tabloids worked out a few years back that posting this kind of headline on social media seemed to spark exactly this kind of viral reaction from non-Brits. Clickbait basically.

@Sheripres Yeah it's anachronistic. But the whole "we're all the same" thing doesn't really fly. You might not bow to an American president, but if one spontaneously arrived at your home you'd almost certainly act with extreme deference.

@Samfr I'll take the bullet and say it because everyone else in the comments is too polite too; It's priced in a way which keeps out the riff raff. There's nothing special about the accommodation or amenities but the whole park has a better ambience. You're paying for better neighbours.
