@callioperyder@NinNons@annabrandberg I am sorry and thank you for being brave. Those who have the power need to do better, and I am sad that it takes something like this to point that out.
@Drewbert_ahoy@jesawyer But it is a choice, companies choose how to spend the money. It is too easy to say you don't have the budget for QA but you have the budget for engineers, designers, and artists. QA is not seen as necessary and that is a problem.
@jesawyer QA Career tracks are essential, if someone has no way to progress they leave. We have one and are getting better, but it is frustrating to watch all of your talent leave because you can't pay them more or offer them a career.
@jesawyer I truly believe that coming from QA makes better designers, and protecting the entry level position is vital, but poverty wages, always on contracts, it is not moral how game QA is treated I work hard to make it better in my department, but there is only so much I can do alone
@jesawyer This is the goal of my career, making Game QA relevant and equal to the other disciplines. Pay is a huge part of that, I can't keep good QA when they can make half again *at minimum* more being an entry level designer
