@PaintByNumberzz@8P4jkWN@OGRE4GOD Giving it a chance years later after he began larping video games is a little different than giving it a chance during his formative years, where a persons true interests and personality typically manifest.
@BigDoomFan@8P4jkWN@OGRE4GOD Okay? And I had played WW and TP, if anything playing OoT felt more magical in a way after having played those first since it showed where a lot of those mechanics originated from.
@solo_levelingx I wonder if there’s an inverse effect where single mothers hate their sons for being too good looking and reminding them of their father
@8P4jkWN@OGRE4GOD I was 10 when I played OoT for the first time and I loved it so much that I played Master Quest, then the 3DS remake which had just come out. But, it’s no wonder that every other zoomer hates “old games” so much when their main form of engagement with them is youtubers like this.
@8P4jkWN@OGRE4GOD As if it matters. Hating games that much, only to become a gaming personality is so insanely disingenuous and explains a lot. Especially considering OoT would’ve been a decade (or less) old at the time; if he actually liked games he would’ve given it a chance.
@inezstra@mspaintpics Newgrounds is the only art oriented site that has really taken a stand against AI, but it mostly rewards video game fanart from what i’ve seen
@Heroine__P_ There are. They just get silenced and ostracized, and that in conjunction to male loneliness mostly leads to the obvious outcome. It’s sad.
Women are always the ones in the spotlight because literally everything they do- including this- is set to tutorial mode
@ThatGuyYouKnowF He already is fully mainstream, and he’s already been riding out what little fame he’s had since 2008 to hurt people as much as he can.
@doubledowndash Without any form of active gatekeeping like steam greenlight, there's been an explosion in indie slop like this and nobody seems to talk about it.
Greenlight wasn't perfect, but at least back then indies treated the thought of selling your work with a little bit of reverence.
@doubledowndash Indies need to be humbled again. Low effort shit like this is what creates distrust in consumers and growing resentment toward the industry. $5 used to get you the original ISAAC, and now it gets you an ad for some guy's patreon, skinwalking the "roguelite" genre.
@stolperson If someone has ideas worth creating, then they'll go through the effort of learning a craft to bring it to life.
If they don't, they won't bother and will instead AI gen their mind slop.
@wit_gambeson@Senior_erre I used to think that way too, but Mina was the first game I decided to say “fuck it” and just draw stuff of without knowing anything about her game, and tbh it felt so much more freeing than being bogged down by ball knowledge
@Jargon_Scott Okay, but this is pure delusion considering furfags don’t even bat an eye when bronies post to our websites, show up to our cons, or commission our artists. Bronies are the ones desperate to exclude themselves from the anthro animal fandom, while stimwatching an anthro horse show
