@myBurbankNEWS@FlamSanders Craig, as someone with your background in the city and coach and we know the civic pride in our local sports at least used to be…do you find it interesting that Hubbell and Valencia have set a bar of not playing with the local kids? Is this a conversation for an article?
@Maxwell1995Vjjo There’s Yordan Alvarez who’s leading the majors in ops, offensive war, slugging, runs created, total bases, 2nd in AL in avg, 25 homers.
MLB Manager Decision Success Rate V3
shows the average change in win probability from each manager decision, including pinch-hit appearances and qualifying mid-inning bullpen changes
@mrdodger1966@jimsouders@DodgerBlue1958 Already covered this big dog. It all worked out. Hurt was really good before his hiccups. Back to back good outings. Hopefully he found something. Never can get back on track without getting back in there throwing your next punch
@mrdodger1966@jimsouders@DodgerBlue1958 So your way of tightening it up is avoiding use of the bullpen? This based off of less than 10 or so games of poor performance. Then what, burn out your starting pitching where arms are dead 4 1/2 months from now. How do you tighten it up without getting them out there?
@mrdodger1966@jimsouders@DodgerBlue1958 You seem to hate facts. However, you only wanted to point to May. However, in April the Dodgers had the third lowest bullpen era
@Markispeace@Maxwell1995Vjjo But you’re saying they got to go. Why get rid off the team the 2nd best in drs at his position and possibly the best backup catcher in the game, both who are only rookies? Who do you think they will get to match that production with room to grow?
@mrdodger1966@jimsouders@DodgerBlue1958 So despite the analytics I provided you, your solution is to avoid the bullpen which is unsustainable for so many reasons, while also not giving them a chance to get back on track which is far more important as the season goes on
@mrdodger1966@jimsouders@DodgerBlue1958 How about Wrobo had given up 11 hard hit balls in 6 innings. 6 in his final 2 innings of work. 6 of those outs on hard hit balls had Xba of .500 or above. The rays had 3-4-5 coming up the third time through in a 1-0 game. I wager this also factored into the decision as well
@DaEncinoMan I wonder if a talk will happen with him in the next month as Snell comes back and possible call up of Ryan about skipping some starts. Obviously still need him as a pitcher for October. Just conserve a bit
@Markispeace@Maxwell1995Vjjo Freeland is a rookie who’s 2nd in DRS at his position and has been serviceable as a hitter. Rushing is a rookie backup catcher. There isn’t another team in the league who wouldn’t want him at the toughest position to find his ceiling of talent. Call is a 4th outfielder
