the problem isnt the fact that digital is technically worse, because it runs on ssds, downloads quickly and its just all there, the problem is the drm and the fact you dont own it. if every digital storefront was like GOG there wouldnt even be discussion about this.

The biggest issue isn't simply physical vs. digital.

It's whether the games we pay for TODAY will still be playable 10, 20 or 30 years from now.

If the industry wants an all-digital future, then preservation and permanent access can't be an afterthought.

Games shouldn't just disappear.
