Ötzi the Iceman’s knife & lime bast sheath for #FlintFriday @oetzimuseum though only a small part is flint. Stone tools are good examples of long-lasting archaeological finds that were often a small part of a complex organic assemblage lost over 1000s of years (unless frozen!)

I overheard PhD folk subtly mocking undergraduate students, please don't do this. Don't forget that we all started somewhere. Undergraduates are the future, so treat them like it. Bring them into the conversation, help them feel respected & valued as people & as researchers.

I work a full-time (40hr) job so I can pay for my PhD. On average I work 20hrs a week on my PhD. It is massively unsustainable, as I should be putting more time into the PhD but can’t without money, which I can only get from work. #phdchat #thestruggleisreal
