@_Evan_Boyle Might be worth playing around with for smaller things! My current Rube Goldberg setup is spec-kit + beads + @doodlestein beads_viewer (more intelligent DAG stuff and visibility) + “orchestrate” agent that spawns subagents to pick off work, validate, log bugs as beads, repeat.
@samososos Congrats on the launch! I’ve been involved on a couple projects that involve authZ and every. Single. Time. I wish there was a service for it. I’m tired of making apps/UIs to manage users, permissions, and roles haha. The interesting part is applying it, not the CRUD 😂
@johncutlefish there’s a thread going on in a slack group i’m a part of and this very topic is poking its head in terms of performance reviews. being reviewed by folks who may not understand “higher level” craft enough to properly evaluate performance fairly (in this case staff+ engineering).
@johncutlefish don't know if it's the right way, but shortly after an acquisition, big co didn't want to "infect" the acquired co with culture. literally told us to not talk to them. they wanted it to go the other way and have the small co infect the big one in a good way at some point
@HiredThought are the tooltips working for you on this doctrine page? i was trying with a couple browsers thinking that it was some ad blocker, but i don’t see the click/tooltip interaction https://t.co/IKJwfrwxhy
@HiredThought awesome! i just wanted to see the info for “Remove bias and dupliation” and ended up just inspecting the DOM to see the text 😂. but it’s a great page and figured you might just needed a heads up that it wasn’t working. also wasn’t sure if it “was just me”
@patio11 The other term related to this “diversification over time” thing is “lifecycle investing” (the book). Leverage up when young, deleverage over time.
@patio11 What is this tactic called? (for Googling)
I’ve seen this specific tactic mentioned in the context of Schwab’s Investor Checking account w/ $0 balance. Pay bills using checkings, but use overdraft protection from a brokerage account w/ margin. Paycheck fills the “hole”.
even if you’re not hiring a VP Eng, this is a great article that helps raise your expectations for your engineering org leadership. The best teams i’ve worked with had multiple people who cared about these topics. https://t.co/H6G8sdYunb
@thedailyem me responding to this tweet a week later is me literally going into “freeze” mode in fight/flight/freeze. i’d rather find other people who are also procrastinating and not do what i’m supposed to be doing, so you’re not alone. but damnit, now that i know i’m not alone…
