We just hit the record for the largest Nanopore sequencing output in North America using a plant sample! Using the @circulomics Nanobind Plant Nuclei Big DNA Kit and @nanopore LSK110 library prep kit on the Whitebark Pine, I was able to generate an output of 203 Gb in 72 hours.
A bovine pangenome? @USDA_ARS is using @nanopore ultra long reads as part of efforts to assemble over 600 cattle genomes. No cell lines here! This is lung tissue. I think we can these longer still😉. #nanobind
